My Love Affair with New York…

Ever since I was a little girl I was always mesmerized by New York City. The lights of Times Square, walking down 5th Avenue, seeing broadways shows, ya know just living my Devil Wears Prada dreams! I have been to New York twice as a little girl, both during Christmas. It is so magical and beautiful, but as a five-year-old dose, I forgot about all of it… But this summer for my birthday(I turned sixteen if you cared) we went to the big apple, and I had the time of my life!! Being in New York during Christmas is one thing, but being in New York during the summer is a whole other magical experience! The weather is perfectly warm, and was so exciting to see Central Park in a new light! Literally, during the winter it’s pretty dark, and cold. But sadly the city was not very crowded due to COVID, it was sad to see places we once loved closed for good, and the streets were close to empty, while they used to be full of people. It was sad to see but also nice to have some of the city to ourselves.

But none of this would not be possible if it were not for my Mimi! She never gave up on giving my family this trip, and made it the best trip possible! We did everything: Times Square, Central Park, 30 Rock, NBC station, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, WE DID IT ALL!! So thank you so much Mimi for giving this trip to my mom and me, we loved it! And we love you even more(than butterflies)! So without further ado here is all the fun things we did on our trip!

This is the famous soup kitchen from “Seinfeld”. Im so glad I got this guy behind me in the photo!

My mom and I at Nordstroms!

Stumbled upon this when we found the Soup kitchen! He is one of my favorite late night talk show hosts!

Us in Central Park in front of the “friends” fountain!

Me in Strawberry Fields/Yoko Ono’s tear drop at the John Lennon Imagine circle.

These are only the highlights of our amazing trip to New York! I had the best time there, and I already miss it so much! I cry every time I think about it, but I know I’ll be back, and one day be a citizen there! So I hope you enjoyed reading about my amazing trip to New York! Until next time!

XoXo,CC.
